Thanks to all the cyclists and visitors who dropped by this weekend at Swim Bike Run of Kentucky. We had a blast. With the cold weather and snow it sure feels great getting in an awesome cycling workout inside. There's room for you. Just go to our Training page, click on Open Rides under CompuTrainer, and reserve your slot. It's easy! We also had more visitors drive quite a distance to see what we're about. Sean came from Garrard County, and Lacey from Somerset. Sunday we hosted a meeting for the group organizing the Markey Race for Women's Cancer to be held Sunday, June 27th, at U-K's Spindletop Hall. Dr.Leigh Seamon is leading this effort, and we're proud to be one of the sponsors. It's a sprint triathlon in a great location. We're also developing a six-week training program starting March 6th that will lead up to the Heart & Sole Triathlon in Versailles. Coach Beth Atnip is putting together a series of weekly clinics, and each athlete will receive a daily training plan. This is open to all athletes regardless if you're racing at Heart & Sole. Coach Beth will cover subjects like race preps, transitions, running on grass, dynamic warm-ups, basic nutrition, and race day planning. We'll even check out your bike to make sure it's safe and ready to rock! Cost is $75. Look for details soon on our website. And finally, we held a Super Bowl party complete with cycling during the first half, and munching on all the snacks in the second. All our 2XU tri suits, tops, and shorts, as well as Louie Garneau shoes and gear are all expected in this week. It's a busy time at SBR of KY. Stop by and see us!
